BAPTIST WOMEN

The aim of Baptist Women is to encourage each other to be faithful in serving the Lord.

In today’s modern world, in which there are so many temptations and there is so much stress and peer pressure, we want to stand firm in our Christian beliefs and live lives that are acceptable to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ Himself has commanded us to be loving, and not to be involved with unholy people and an unholy lifestyle.

As single women we are to love and hounor Christ, serve and obey Him, and live for His glory. As wives we are to love and hounor our husbands and live according to what Christ wants us to be. As mothers we are to love our children and give them the good example of love, teaching them the fear of God and God’s ways.

By standing together and working toward unity in our churches, loving and helping one another in a world where standards often demand otherwise, we should obey the Lord.

 Many of our churches have women’s programs where women meet once a week or on a monthly basis. Some have craft groups and others discuss subjects that aim to help women grow in their faith and serve the Lord.

 Baptist Women organizes a “Spring rally” every year, where women from all over the province come together to spend a day having fellowship. In the fall, we have our yearly “Fall retreat”. We have guest speakers, craft groups, discussion groups and fellowship.

On the World Baptist Women’s Day of Prayer, we gather in one of our churches and pray for the different needs of women all over the world.
